It also seems that customers of high-tech companies are starting to expect them to practice social media, if for no other reason than to demonstrate that they can keep up with the latest trends. I&#039;ve heard this anecdotally from marketers I&#039;ve talked to, but haven&#039;t seen any hard data to back it up.</description>
